President Rodrigo Duterte has recently recognized the outstanding dedication of the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA) during the PCG's 115th Anniversary last October 12.
The plaque of recognition was received by PCGA's National Director VADM VALENTIN B PRIETO JR PCGA as witnessed by some of the organization's top leaders, industry partners, foreign counterparts and the media.
The President, through Coast Guard Commandant RADM WILLIAM M MELAD PCG, recognized the PCGA's unwavering efforts of assisting the PCG in its mission of saving lives and properties at sea as well as protecting the marine environment.
The PCGA has been the Coast Guard's worthy and reliable partner for over 44 years.
In his speech, RADM MELAD PCG attributed many of the organization's successes to the PCGA which has been voluntarily and untiringly serving the country's maritime communities.
The anniversary has also witnessed the commissioning of PCG's first multi-role response vessel, the 44-meter BRP Tubbataha as led by the president.
