About 100 members of the Coast Guard Auxiliary District National Capital Region-Central Luzon (CGADNCR-CL) were formally welcomed into the folds of the PCGA as newly inducted and promoted officers.
The ceremony was presided over by COMMO LEOPOLDO LAROYA PCG, Commander of Coast Guard District National Capital Region-Central Luzon (CGDNCR-CL) at the Philippine Navy Golf Club last October 20.
The event was well-attended by the 20 Squadrons of CGADNCR-CL as well as some of the station commanders of the PCG's NCR District. It was graced by the presence of PCGA National Director VADM VALENTIN B PRIETO JR PCGA and some the flag ranks from the National Auxiliary Main Office.
The ceremonies included the awarding of Plaques of Recognition to the Best Auxiliary Division, Best Auxiliary Squadron, Auxiliarist of the year, Officer of the Year and District of the Year. The said awards were given by the Philippine Coast Guard in time with its 115th Anniversary, all of which were won by the members and units of this District.
The PCGA likewise welcomed in its fold some mediamen to include CDR NOEL ALAMAR PCGA, reporter of DZMM and ABS-CBN; LCDR PAULO FLORES PCGA, tabloid publisher; and LT DAVE CECILIO, independent film director.
